Team Buddy is a blend of seasoned scrappies and experienced venture builders. We’ve built and launched other successful B2B marketplaces, fintechs and even dating apps!

Our founders

Stu brings 25 years of experience in scrap operations, trading and leadership. He started out with a torch in hand and worked his way up to the Executive at the largest metal processor in Sub-Saharan Africa.

A new scrap venture called and Stu, along with his wife Lisa, answered by setting up their own metal recycling operation in New Zealand.

Lisa has a background in disruptive innovation and venture creation as a Management Consultant at Deloitte, so it was only a matter of time before the pair hung up their hard hats to build a tech solution to solve one of the recycling industry’s biggest headaches.
